Anniversary celebrations of Maharanas

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation celebrated 350th birth anniversary of Maharana Amar Singh II at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur on the 13th Nov 2022. This is according to the Vikram Samvat Calendar - dated Margshirsh Krishna Panchami Vikram Samvat 1729 (Gregorian calendar 1672 CE) .

A portrait of Maharana Amar Singh II was placed at Rai Angan which was garlanded and worshipped, a lamp was lit with chanting and his historical information was displayed for the visiting tourists.

175th birth anniversary of Maharana Shambhu Singh was celebrated on the 9th December 2022 by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. This is according to the Vikram Samvat Calendar - dated Paush Krishna Prathama Vikram Samvat 1904 (Gregorian calendar 1847 CE). The credit for starting schools of the currently prevalent education system in Mewar actually goes to Maharana Shambhu Singh. During the time of Maharana, in the year 1862, the first dispensary was started in Udaipur. During his reign, the Maharana built Dilkhush Mahal,Shambhuprakash Mahal in Jagniwas, Shambhuratna Pathshala, Sarai outside Surajpol and Hathipol gates, 'Udaipur House' in Ajmer for Udaipur students studying in Mayo College, Abu and Bungalows in Neemuch, Udaipur.

369th Birth Anniversary of Maharana Jai Singh, 59th Ekling Diwan of Mewar was celebrated on the 19th December 2022. This is according to the Vikram Samvat Calendar - dated Paush Krishna Ekadashi Vikram Samvat 1710 (Gregorian calendar 1653 CE). Maharana Jai Singh instrumental in building a pond near the village of Thoor which is called Thur pond in year 1744. He built the world famous man-made sweet water lake named Jaisamudra, 32 miles south-east of Udaipur. Got it done in 1748 (AD 1687- 1691).

208th Birth Anniversary of Maharana Swarup Singh, 70th Ekling Diwan of Mewar was Celebrated on 21st December 2023. This is according to the Vikram Samvat Calendar - dated Paush Krishna Trayodashi Vikram Samvat 1871 (Gregorian calendar 1815 CE). Maharana was instrumental in building many temples, Goverdhan Sagar pond, Swaroop Sagar pond, he also worked for the protection of cows.
