Visit of students and faculty from Balwant Sheth School of Architecture, NMIMS University, Mumbai
A group of 70 students accompanied by 5 faculty members of the Balwant Sheth School of Architecture, NMIMS University, Mumbai visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur as part of an educational tour of Udaipur from 13th to 19th November 2022. They were briefed about the Museum and Trust's initiatives, projects, built heritage and its reflection in the arts, by the Museum's curatorial team including Associate Curator, Dr. Hansmukh Seth, and Assistant Curator, Ms. Chelsea Santos on 16th November 2022, at Manek Chowk.
Visit of Ms. Elizabeth Kadetsky

Ms. Elizabeth Kadetsky, a well-known nonfiction editor, New England Review and a Fulbright-Nehru flex Scholar 2022-2024, visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur on 28th November and 7th December 2022. Her visit was pertaining to her research on ancient sculptures of Matrikas from South Rajasthan, for her upcoming book. |
Visit of Ms. Shruti Gautam

Ms. Shruti Gautam is a research student, pursuing her doctoral degree at the Department of Museology, Vadodara. Her visit on 30th December 2022 was motivated by her effort to analyse and collect data for her project that revolves around storytelling and meaning- making in a museum-specific context using Hindu mythology and Hindu art objects. |

Development in Maharana Mewar Special Library
Maharana Mewar Special Library (MMSL) is an excellent resource for scholars and researchers. It has a collection of more than 36036 books till December 2022 on different subjects. The Library has special collection of books dedicated to Literature, Religion, History, Arts, Zoology, Sports and General Geography of different parts of India and the globe, and a rare collection of books on the Mewar dynasty.
119 new books were added to the library in the month of November 2022 and it was processed in Accession Register. The classification was done by Dewey decimal classification; 19th Rev. Edition, Cataloguing (AACR II) and Bibliography. The details were uploaded in the Library housekeeping software, Libsys, and on the Eternal Mewar website http://eternalmewar.in/mmsl. Stamping, tagging and scanning were also performed on all these books. Purchased books include - World Hindu Conference 1979, Brahamchari, Sangeet Lahari, Shiv Aarti Sangrah, Muktanjali, Shodh Patrika, Shri Bhagwad Geeta, Nagari Pracharini Patrika, All India Telephone Directory, A World Unto Itself, Pashchimi Railway Samay Sarani, Agyat Darshan, Dhhammapad, Manas, Yug Nirmata Rao Jodha, Panchtantra Ki Kahaniya, Datar, Dhmma Pad, Hindi Patrakarita Main Ayodhya Vivad, Chitrakoot Ka Chatak, Kasak Bhookhe Bhil Ki, Siri Sampige, Swayamshasta Mahaveer, Maharana Udai Singh Ka Vyaktitva Evam Kratitva, Anant Hai Mujamai Wah, Freedom Movement in Western Rajasthan, Anjuri Bhar Ujala, Utsav Ka Nirmam Samay, Shrutikirti, Manas, Rajasthani Kahawaten, Yug Nirmata Rao Jodha, Panchtantra Ki Kahaniya, Datar, Kankoo Kabandh, Iconic Indians, Stotrasancayah.
