VIP Visit

Visit of Dr. James Stewart and Dr. Zoe Kwok

Dr. James Christian Stewart, Director of the Princeton University Art Museum, and Dr. Zoe Song-Yi Kwok, Nancy and Peter Lee Associate Curator of Asian Art at the same museum, visited the City Palace Museum in Udaipur from July 23rd - 28th, 2023.

During their visit, they discussed possibilities for future collaboration between the two museums. The City Palace Museum recently hosted a student from Princeton University for two months, and the two museums are interested in exploring other ways to work together.

Dr. Stewart and Dr. Kwok met with Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation.

They also visited the City Palace Museum, its galleries, conservation lab, and the Maharana Mewar Research Institute. They met with members of the museum team and visited the Durbar Hall at Fateh Prakash Palace and other sites around Udaipur.

The visit was a great opportunity for the two museums to discuss their shared interests and explore ways to collaborate in the future.
