Karan Singh died in March 1628 CE at a young age. He is remembered as a wise and benevolent ruler who made significant contributions to the development of Mewar.

Instrumental performance at Baadi Mahal

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation is committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Mewar. As part of this commitment, the trust has initiated a weekly performance series at the Baadi Mahal, The City Palace, Udaipur.

The series features a variety of traditional Indian instruments, including the santoor, flute, jal tarang, and sitar. The performances are open to the public and free of charge.

On July 8th, 2023 Mr. Dheeraj Vaishnav (santoor), July 15th, 2023 Mr. Anand Dabley (flute), July 22nd, 2023 Mr. Nandlal Gandharv (jal tarang) and on July 29th, 2023 Mr. Suraj Gandharv (sitar) presented their performance.

The performances took place at 10:00 AM till 01.00 PM at the Baadi Mahal, City Palace Museum, Udaipur.

The instrumental performances are a great way to experience the rich cultural heritage of Mewar for the visitors to the museum. They are also a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy some beautiful music.
