Inauguration of Balaji Textile and Book Store at The City Palace, Udaipur

On May 24th, 2024, Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), inaugurated the Balaji Textile and Book Store at the Manek Chowk of The City Palace, Udaipur. The store aims to enhance the visitor experience by offering a curated selection of handcrafted items and collectibles that will serve as lasting mementos of their visit to this iconic heritage site. By providing visitors with unique, locally- sourced products, the store seeks to promote the rich cultural heritage of Mewar while supporting local artisans and craftspeople.

The store's offerings are expected to complement the ongoing efforts by MMCF to preserve and showcase Udaipur's legacy, as well as enhance the overall appeal of the city as a premier tourist destination.

Celebrating the Legacy of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap

The 484th birth anniversary of the legendary warrior king, Maharana Pratap, was commemorated with great fervor and reverence across India. From the historic City Palace in Udaipur to schools in Bihar and Jharkhand, people paid tribute to the indomitable spirit and unwavering patriotism of this iconic figure.

Floral Tributes

In Udaipur, the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation organized a series of events to honor Maharana Pratap's legacy. On the 09th of June 2024, corresponding to Jyeshth Shukla Tritiya 1597 in the Vikram Samvat Calendar (1540 CE), the Rai Angan area of the City Palace Museum was adorned with flowers. Visitors gathered to pay their respects and garland the statue of the great Mewar king. The foundation also garlanded the statue of Maharana Pratap at the Maharana Pratap International Airport in Dabok, Udaipur, as a mark of reverence.
