Celebrations at Moti Magri

As part of the ongoing festivities to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap, members of Shiv Dal Mewar visited Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar at The City Palace, Udaipur and presented him with soil from the historic Haldighati battlefield on 05th Jun, 2024. This symbolic gesture pays tribute to the legacy of Maharana Pratap, who fought valiantly against the Mughal forces.

The Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti organized a grand celebration at Moti Magri in Udaipur. The event was presided over by Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, MMCF and the president of the samiti, who paid his respects to the legendary warrior king. Mr. Mewar performed Vedic rituals and a fire ceremony at the statue of Maharana Pratap, offering 484 kg of laddus as a symbolic gesture. In his address, he highlighted the inspirational life of Maharana Pratap, emphasizing his unwavering patriotism, ideal values, and moral duties. Mr. Mewar expressed confidence that Maharana Pratap's legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. The memorial was abuzz with activity throughout the day, as residents and domestic and foreign tourists flocked to pay their respects. The Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti offered free entry to all visitors, making the celebration accessible to all. In addition to the prayers and rituals, visitors had the opportunity to witness a unique exhibition showcasing a collection of Indian military weapons. This exhibition served as a tribute to the martial prowess and strategic acumen of Maharana Pratap, who led his army with distinction in the Battle of Haldighati against the Mughals.
