Mr. Mewar was invited to the Shaurya Shobha Yatra, a grand procession organized by the Maharana Pratap Janmotsav Ayojan Samiti in Kota, which he attended. En route to Kota, he received a warm welcome from the Hadoti Siksha Pracharani Samiti at their student hostel.

Invitation for "Yuge Yugeen Bharat" Museum Project

The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has invited several private and government museums to participate in the ongoing "Yuge Yugeen Bharat" museum project. The meeting was held on June 10, 2024, at the Conference Hall, Central Secretariat Library, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.

The Government of India is committed to establishing the world's largest museum, "Yuge Yugeen Bharat," in Delhi, covering an area of 1.17 lakh square meters. The existing space will be converted into galleries, temporary exhibition spaces, storage, and conservation laboratories.

The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, was represented by Ms. Bhasha Shah (Conservator) in the meeting. The government has invited private museums like the City Palace Museum, Udaipur, to engage in public-private partnerships.

This collaboration will allow the use of their conservation spaces and conservation professionals in this national project.

Celebrating World Music Day 2024 at the City Palace Museum

On June 21, 2024, the City Palace Museum celebrated World Music Day with a vibrant event at the Music Gallery in Zenana Mahal. The celebration attracted a diverse audience of music lovers, families, and cultural enthusiasts.

The highlight of the event was a unique crossword puzzle activity based on the museum's extensive music collection. This interactive experience aimed to promote the rich musical heritage preserved within the museum's galleries. Visitors accessed the crossword puzzle via QR codes placed on posters throughout the Music Gallery and Baadi Mahal.

The event also featured a captivating live performance by renowned sitar maestro Mr. Om Prakash Tak at the Baadi Mahal. His melodious recital provided an engaging and enriching experience for all attendees, allowing them to immerse themselves in the beauty of traditional Indian music. The World Music Day celebration was designed and curated by the museum's interns, Mr. Robert Sumeet Mohan and Ms. Madalyn Faith Mejia. Their dedication and creativity ensured that the event not only showcased the museum's impressive music collection but also fostered family and community participation through educational and interactive activities.
