'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' Plantation Drive in Udaipur

Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), participated in a plantation drive at Manikyalal Verma Park, Doodh Talai on August 07, 2024. The event was jointly organized by students from Udaipur's Jagdish Chowk Girls Higher Secondary School, Government Secondary School Bhattiyani Chowhatta, and the Old City Welfare Committee.

During the drive, Mr. Mewar planted a sapling and emphasized the importance of sustainable development that enhances the environment. He encouraged everyone to actively contribute to this cause. Over 300 students and residents of the area enthusiastically participated in the event.

This plantation drive is part of the Rajasthan government's 'Amrit Paryavaran Mahotsav' initiative, which aims to plant one thousand saplings by each school under the theme 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'. The occasion was graced by Dharmotsav committee president Mr. Dinesh Makwana, former councilor Mr. Devendra Javalia, BJP OBC Morcha state vice president Mr. Jagdish Suthar, and members of the Old City Welfare Committee, including Mr. Akshay Singh Rao, Mr. Pradeep Sen, Mr. Kailash Soni, Mr. Sandeep Soni, Mr. Rajendra Singh Bhati, and Mr. Jaswant Tak. Dozens of activists and school teachers also participated in the drive, demonstrating a collective commitment to environmental conservation.

Blood Donation and Multi-Specialty Checkup Camp

A blood donation and multi-specialty checkup camp was organized at Lashkari Agrawal Dharamshala in Sector 5, Udaipur on August 11, 2024,, under the joint aegis of the Lions Club Udaipur Elite and Vyapar Mandal of Sectors 5 and 6. Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation was invited as the Chief Guest, joined by notable attendees including Udaipur City MLA Mr. Tara Chand Jain, Rural MLA Mr. Phool Singh Meena, Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Shankar Bamnia, ASP Mr. Chhagan Purohit, and Divisional President Mr. K.V. Ramesh.

During the camp, 57 units of blood were collected by the trained team from Saral Blood Bank, while approximately 250 individuals received consultations and checkups from the attending doctors.

Club President Jyoti Prakash announced that gifts were presented to blood donors by the Lions Club and Jana Bank as a token of appreciation. The event also saw participation from Club Secretary Mr. Rajkumari Khabya, Treasurer Mr. Sharad Jain, former President Ms. Vandana Shukla, former Divisional President Mr. Nitin Shukla, former Divisional Secretary Mr. Ashok Chaudhary, and other community members including Ms. Renu Kumawat, Mr. Lalit Khabya, Mr. Arvind Jain, Mr. Bhupesh Jain, and Lion Rajneesh Chittaura. This camp provided essential health services and promoted community involvement in blood donation, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness in the region.
