Shree Krishna Janmashtami Celebration

Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), attended the Dadhika Mahotsav on the eve of Shree Krishna Janmashtami, organized by Shiv Dal Mewar at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Square in Udaipur on August 25, 2024.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Governor of Punjab, Mr. Gulab Chand Kataria, Udaipur City MLA Mr. Tarachand Jain, and Mr. Akash Wagrecha. They were welcomed by Mr. Manish Mehta, Chief of Shiv Dal Mewar, along with members of the organizing committee.

A highlight of the celebration was the Maha Aarti performed with 11,000 diyas. In a spirited display, ten teams of local youth formed a human pyramid to attempt breaking a pot suspended 27 feet high. The Om Sai Ram Jagdish Chowk team emerged victorious in this matki fod event. The atmosphere was electrified as thousands of devotees joined in singing "Vande Mataram," marking the commencement of the matki breaking competition following the Maha Aarti.

Continuing the vibrant festivities for Shree Krishna Janmashtami on August 27, Mr. Mewar, accompanied by Master Haritraj Singh Mewar, offered prayers and performed rituals at Jagdish Temple in Udaipur.
