2024 Annual IC3 Conference & Expo

Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, served as a panel speaker at the 2024 IC3 Presidential Forum during the Annual IC3 Conference & Expo held in New Delhi on August 28-29, 2024. In the session titled "Self Discovery - The Power Within," Mr. Mewar shared his insights alongside fellow speakers: Ms. Jane Larsson, Executive Director of the Council of International Schools (CIS) from Leiden, Netherlands; Ms. Preeti Vyas, President & CEO of Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai; and Dr. Anju Chazot, Founder Director of Mahatma Gandhi International School (MGIS), Ahmedabad. The session was expertly moderated by Ms. Nargish Khambatta, Principal and CEO of GEMS Modern Academy and Senior Vice President at GEMS Education in Dubai, U.A.E. The IC3 Presidential Forum is a prestigious gathering that unites prominent thought leaders in education from schools, higher education institutions, and industry sectors. This forum provides an exceptional opportunity for attendees to connect with and learn from senior education leaders from around the globe.

Academic Initiatives

Successful Internships at the City Palace Museum, Udaipur

The Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) is pleased to announce the completion of four successful internships with the curatorial department at the City Palace Museum, Udaipur. Mr. Robert Sumeet Mohan, a student at Princeton University pursuing a degree in the history of art with minors in South Asian studies and religious studies, completed an 8-week internship marked by his deep passion for South Asian art and musical instruments. During his internship, Robert conducted research on the museum's musical instrument collection and meticulously cataloged them. On World Music Day, he captivated both visitors and the online community with an educational activity showcasing his expertise and enthusiasm for the subject.

Ms. Madalyn Faith Mejia, a Princeton University student majoring in anthropology with a minor in dance, joined the museum for an 8-week internship. As an outreach and education intern, Madalyn worked on educational plans for the exhibition "Picturing Place: Painted and Printed Maps at the Udaipur Court," designing engaging activities for school students. She accompanied the museum's curatorial team to the Maharaja Fatesingh Museum Trust in Vadodara, where she conducted educational activities related to the exhibition. Ms. Dishita Suthar, a postgraduate student from Ahmedabad University pursuing a master's degree in Heritage Management, contributed significantly to the museum's curatorial team during her 8-week internship. Dishita worked on the documentation and research of museum objects, enhancing the understanding of the collection. She actively assisted in the museum's educational activities, helping to create engaging and informative programs for visitors. These internships have enriched the City Palace Museum's collection, educational initiatives, and outreach efforts, thanks to the dedication and contributions of these talented individuals.

Ms. Akshara Bhatnagar, an undergraduate student from Miranda College, University of Delhi, who recently completed a one-month internship with our curatorial department at the City Palace Museum, Udaipur. She undertook the task of documenting the European sculptures in our collection. These exquisite pieces were gifted to the Royal Family of Mewar by guests and friends. Her expertise and interest in European art proved to be a valuable asset.
