Visit of Ms. Mayo Murasaki - Japanese Vlogger to the City Palace Museum, Udaipur Japanese vlogger Ms. Mayo Murasaki, known for her popular YouTube channel, recently visited the City Palace Museum in Udaipur as part of her tour to promote Rajasthan and India in Japan from July 24th to 29th, 2024. Her visit was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as part of their efforts to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the state to international audiences. During her stay in Udaipur, Ms. Murasaki explored the grandeur of the City Palace Museum and was particularly fascinated by the museum's collection of Mewar paintings, which shed light on the living heritage of the region and its cultural exchanges in the realms of art, architecture, religion, and culture. She also marveled at the intricate mirror work, beautiful paintings,traditional royal furniture, and ornamental tile work that adorned the various palaces within the complex. One of the highlights of her visit was the Mardana Mahal, or the palace of the men, which showcased the lifestyle of the rulers through various installations. The vlogger also visited the Zenana Mahal, or the palace of the ladies, which now houses the museum's extensive collection of artifacts. Through her vlogs and social media posts, Ms. Murasaki aimed to inspire her Japanese audience to explore the wonders of Rajasthan and the City Palace Museum, Udaipur.
