Musical Heritage: MMCF Celebrates Kartik Poornima with Classical Performances

On the auspicious occasion of Kartik Poornima on November 15th, 2024, the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) hosted enchanting instrumental music performances at Baadi Mahal, City Palace Museum, Udaipur. The day's musical celebrations were divided into two captivating sessions that beautifully captured the spiritual essence of the festival. In the morning session, Mr. Nandlal Gandharv mesmerized the audience with his Jal Tarang, accompanied by Mr. Kapil Gandharv's rhythmic tabla compositions.

The afternoon session featured the melodious flute of Mr. Dharesh Pandya, harmoniously complemented by Mr. Uttam Pandya's tabla rhythms. These performances not only entertained the guests but also resonated with the divine spirit of Kartik Poornima, a festival that symbolizes spiritual awakening and cultural richness.

The City Palace Museum Joins World Heritage Art Festival 

 The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, proudly participated in the World Heritage Art Festival, a celebration of art and culture from India and Sri Lanka. Held from December 19th to 22nd, 2024, at Urban Square Mall, Udaipur, the event brought together artists, students, teachers, and cultural enthusiasts from across the region. The museum's curatorial team, comprising Ms. Geetika Kumar, Mr. Mudit Charles, and Ms. Vatsala, conducted an interactive educational activity titled "Complete the Art." Participants, including visitors, artists, students, teachers, and coordinators, were invited to contribute to an artwork depicting the City Palace. The collaborative effort symbolized the joy and beauty of coming together to celebrate art and culture. By encouraging collective contribution, the initiative underscored the festival's core theme: that art becomes more meaningful and enjoyable when shared and celebrated together.
