Major General Duggal Explores Udaipur's City Palace Museum 

On 18th November 2024, Major General Prince Duggal, Chief of Staff of HQ 12 Corps, accompanied by his wife, explored the rich historical collections of the City Palace Museum, Udaipur. During their visit, they toured several significant galleries that showcase Mewar's royal heritage 

The couple explored the Salehkhana Gallery featuring arms and armory, examined the Amar Mahal Gallery's exquisite silver collection, viewed the Gokul Niwas Gallery's display of Mewar's royal textiles and costumes, and concluded their tour at the renowned Crystal Gallery located in Fateh Prakash Palace

This visit highlights the continued interest of military leadership in preserving and understanding the cultural legacy of Rajasthan's royal history

A cordial meeting between Mr. Sadiq Azmat Sayed and Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar

Mr. Sadiq Azmat Sayed, a photographer and videographer from Palanpur, Gujarat, recently had a cordial meeting with Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Managing Trustee, MMCF at The City Palace, Udaipur on the 17th December 2024. Mr. Sadiq represents the fourth generation of photographers with a distinguished association with The City Palace, Udaipur. His lineage boasts prominent figures such as his grandfather, Mr. Abidmiya Lalmiya Syed, also known as A.L. Syed, and his grand-uncle, Mr. Khanjimiya Lalmiya, known as K.L. Syed. Mr. K.L. Syed served as the photographer during the reigns of Maharana Fateh Singh and Maharana Bhupal Singh, while Mr. A.L. Syed captured moments during the reign of Maharana Bhupal Singh and Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar of Udaipur. Mr. A.L. Syed inherited his photographic skills from his elder brother, Mr. K.L. Syed. Subsequently, his son, Mr. Azmat Syed, pursued photography in his own style, and now Mr. Sadiq Azmat Syed carries on the family legacy in his own field.
