He undertook religious pilgrimages to Gaya, Vrindavan, Mathura, Prayag, and Ayodhya, performing rituals and charitable acts. Architecturally, he constructed notable structures like Jal Niwas Mahal, Ghoomat Mandir, and Mukut Mandir, and established three temples in Udaipur. His reign saw cultural enrichment through literary contributions, with Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth later compiling his poems in 'Brajraj-Kavya-Madhuri'. The Nepalese king even sent an envoy to document Mewar's traditions, recognizing the Sisodia clan's significance. Maharana Jawan Singh passed away on 30th August 1838 CE, leaving behind a complex legacy of artistic patronage amidst economic challenges. .

Maharana Shambhu Singh - (r. 1861 - 1874 CE) -177th Birth Anniversary Celebration

On December 16th, 2024, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation celebrated the 177th birth anniversary of Maharana Shambhu Singh.

Maharana Shambhu Singh, adopted by Maharana Swarup Singh from the Bagore branch and son of Kanwar Shardul Singh, ascended the throne of Mewar on 17th November 1861 CE at a young age. Initially guided by a British Political agent and a Regency Council, he quickly transformed Mewar's administration by establishing 'Ahliyan Shree Durbar Rajya Mewar' in 1863 and implementing significant reforms.

A visionary ruler, Shambhu Singh prioritized education by opening the first state school 'Shambhu Ratna Pathshala' in 1863, notably establishing Mewar's first girls' school in 1866 and expanding educational institutions in Bhilwara and Chittorgarh. He modernized infrastructure by constructing the Shambhu Niwas Palace, developing road networks connecting Udaipur to various regions, and establishing the first state dispensary. His progressive administration was recognized by the British government, who awarded him the G.C.S.I. title in 1871 for his remarkable management during the 1868-69 famine. Despite ruling for a short period and dying at the young age of 27 in 1874, Maharana Shambhu Singh left an indelible mark on Mewar's administrative, educational, and social landscape

On 4th November 2024 Mr. Sandeep Chaudhary, the renowned Indian para-athlete from Khetri, Rajasthan, known for his exceptional javelin throwing skills, met with Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar at The City Palace, Udaipur. As a two-time World Champion and Asian Para Games Gold Medalist, Mr. Chaudhary has established himself as a prominent figure in para athletics.
