The City Palace Museum, Udaipur Bridges Heritage and Education on Children's Day

On November 14, 2024, the City Palace Museum in Udaipur celebrated Children's Day by hosting two remarkable school visits that exemplified its commitment to inclusive education and cultural engagement.

The first visit welcomed 155 students and caretakers from Mook Badhir Vidhyalay, Bhilwara, a school serving students with disabilities. These students experienced a specially designed guided tour that highlighted the museum's dedication to accessibility, concluding with refreshments at Chowmukha, Zenana Mahal.

The second visit featured 160 students from Government Girls Senior Secondary School (formerly Shambhu Ratna Pathshala), who participated in an interactive museum tour that aimed to inspire young minds about Mewar's rich cultural heritage. During the visits, students actively engaged with museum exhibits and staff, deepening their understanding of local history. A highlight of the day was a special interaction with museum Managing Trustee Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, which further enriched the students' educational experience. These carefully curated visits demonstrated the City Palace Museum's innovative approach to learning, transforming museum spaces into dynamic, inclusive environments that connect young generations with their cultural roots.
