Decoding Riddles in the Music Gallery On June 21, 2025, World Music Day, the Saraswati Vilas Gallery-home to the Symphony of Mewar: Royal Collection of Musical Instruments at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur-was transformed into an interactive riddle zone. Visitors followed poetic clues to discover musical instruments throughout the gallery, encouraging active engagement with the collection. This immersive activity fostered closer observation and unveiled the unique features and stories behind each instrument. The playful yet educational experience truly brought the music to life. Development in Maharana Mewar Special Library Maharana Mewar Special Library (MMSL) is an excellent resource for scholars and researchers. It has a collection of more than 37110 books till June 2025 on different subjects. The Library has special collection of books dedicated to Literature, Religion, History, Arts, Zoology, Sports and General Geography of different parts of India and the globe, and a rare collection of books on the Mewar dynasty. All the books were processed in Accession Register. Classification done by Dewey decimal classification 19th Rev. Edition, Cataloguing (AACR II) and Bibliography; details uploaded in Library housekeeping software. Libsys and Eternal Mewar web site http://eternalmewar.in/mmsl. Stamping, tagging and scanning were also done on all these books.
