Sanskrit Talents Honored with Sanskriti Gaurav Samman and Maharishi Panini Award in Udaipur

Udaipur witnessed a grand celebration of Sanskrit and its timeless cultural heritage on the occasion of Shravan Purnima during Sanskrit Week, held under the aegis of Sanskrit Bharati Udaipur on August 20, 2025. The closing ceremony saw the honoring of talented individuals with the prestigious Sanskriti Gaurav Samman and Maharishi Panini Award.

National General Secretary Mr. Satyanarayan Bhatt, the keynote speaker, emphasized that "Culture is a gift of Sanskrit, and the entire culture is contained within Sanskrit." He further stated that for the reconstruction of India, adopting the practical use of Sanskrit in daily life is essential. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamps and a recital of Vedic verses, followed by remarks from dignitaries including Dr. Bhagwati Shankar Vyas, Udaipur IG Mr. Gaurav Srivastava, and Mahamandaleshwar Uttam Swami Maharaj, who highlighted Sanskrit's vital role as the cultural language and its deep connection to Sanatan Dharma.

The event also featured heartfelt messages from Udaipur Rural MLA Mr. Phool Singh Meena, Tribal Minister Mr. Babulal Kharadi, and Rajsamand MLA Ms. Dipti Maheshwari about the increasing significance of Sanskrit in education and cultural preservation.

Presiding over the function, Vice Chancellor Professor S.S. Sarangdevot praised Sanskrit's contribution to India's global stature and described the language as a symbol of patriotism and spiritual salvation. Joining in, Shriji Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar honored Sanskrit as the soul of the nation and an invaluable part of India's cultural heritage.

The Sanskriti Gaurav Samman was awarded to Mr. Rajendra Singh Charan, Mr. Devendra Singh Rathore, Mr. Dinesh Bhatt, and Mr. Yuvraj Singh Rathore. The Maharishi Panini Award recognized scholars and students excelling in Sanskrit, including Dr. Nilesh Jain and promising young talents from the region. Winners of Shloka-based painting and recitation competitions were also felicitated.

The ceremony embodied a collective resolve to promote Sanskrit, especially in Mewar, reinforcing its status as the foundation of India's rich culture and a driving force for unity and enlightenment.

Vidya Vaibhav International Educational Conference and Awards 2025

The two-day Vidya Vaibhav International Educational Conference and Awards 2025 commenced at Ananta Resorts, Udaipur on August 22, 2025. Chief Guest Shriji Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his address, he emphasized that teachers are the torchbearers of society's future and highlighted the importance of the conference in fostering meaningful educational discussions in Mewar.

Chairman of the event, Mr. Shrutidhar Arya, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. This year, two new awards were instituted in memory of the late Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, further enriching the conference's legacy. The inaugural keynote was delivered by Dr. Gururaj Karjgi, focusing on the transformative impact of training on changing mindsets.

The programme concluded with the presentation of awards across ten categories, recognizing educators and institutions solely on the basis of merit. The Mewar Legacy Prize in the schools category was awarded to the Seedling Group of Schools, Udaipur, under the leadership of Mr. Hardeep Bakshi.
