IIT Jodhpur Celebrates 77th Republic Day

IIT Jodhpur marked the 77th Republic Day with patriotic enthusiasm, intellectual discourse, and a strong dedication to nation-building as the Tricolour was hoisted on campus on 26th January 2026. Director Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal raised the National Flag, calling on the IIT Jodhpur community to integrate constitutional values into their daily academic and professional pursuits.

Shriji Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar , the Chief Guest, spoke on sacrifice, courage, the mother tongue, and national duty, inspired by Mewar's and Rajasthan's service traditions. He remarked, "Republic Day is more than a date, it's a vivid call to honor our martyrs' sacrifices, soldiers' bravery, and citizens' responsibilities."

Shriji joined a boardroom discussion with Prof. Agarwal and institute leaders on values-based leadership and education's nation-building role. A campus tour showcased IIT Jodhpur's work in innovation, sustainability, and ethical technology.

The event reinforced commitment to constitutional ideals and ongoing nation-building via ethics and service.

"Shyam Bhumi" Art Exhibition

The 3-day joint exhibition Shyam Bhumi - Where Earth Remembers and Art Listens, featuring artists Ms. Natasha Jonathan and Ms. Jyoti Sahdev, opened on January 30, 2026, at Chhota Darikhana, City Palace Museum, Udaipur.

In collaboration with Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), the show was inaugurated by Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, Member of District Legal Services Authority and Additional District & Sessions Judge. Contemporary works vividly portray environmental and cultural themes, drawing tourists and art lovers from across India and abroad.
