Curatorial Visit by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

On 1st February 2026 the Curatorial Team of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, hosted the curatorial team from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, along with eminent scholars and patrons. The visiting members included Ms. Aimee Froom, Curator of Arts of the Islamic World at MFAH; Ms. Ann Dumas, Consulting Curator of European Paintings at MFAH and Curator at the Royal Academy, London; Ms. Jon Evans, Chief Librarian and Rare Books Curator, Hirsch Library, MFAH; Mr. Joyce Evans, Educator; Ms. Amy Poster, Consulting Curator of Indian Art, MFAH; Mr. Robert Poster, retired attorney and arts supporter; and Ms. Janice Atkin, patron of the British Friends of the Art Museums, Israel, and music organizations.

The visit included a curatorial walkthrough of the museum, accompanied by engaging conversations around the collection, exhibitions, and the cultural heritage of Mewar. This meaningful exchange of ideas highlighted shared strengths across our collections and opened avenues for future dialogue and collaboration.
