Army Day Celebrations at Sujanpur, Himachal Pradesh

Shriji Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar graced the Army Day celebrations on January 15, 2026 as Guest of honor, at the historic Sujanpur Chaugan in Hamirpur District, Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh Governor Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla served as chief guest for the grand event, organized by the Ex-Servicemen League Sujanpur and Sarv Kalyankari Trust, featuring military parades with camel and horse contingents, a march-past, cultural programs, and prestigious awards like "Shan-e Himachal" and "Shan-e-Hind." Notable attendees included Leader of the Opposition Mr. Jai Ram Thakur and BJP leader Mr. Saudan Singh. These annual programs honor the Indian Army, ex-servicemen, martyrs' families, and Veer Naris (war widows), with the Governor felicitating brave soldiers to reinforce national gratitude for their service
