The marriage took place between Harjeet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lall and Abhimanyu, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ajoy Bhandari at Kunwarpada Lawns, Jagmandir, Udaipur on 17th February 2008. Guests moved in slow procession from The Sunset Terrace to the Promenade where boats took guests to the Palace Island for the wedding that was followed by cocktails and dinner at The Courtyard, Jagmandir. The venue was dramatically decorated for the occasion.
The marriage celebrations started on the 16th February with Sangeet and dinner at the Zenana Mahal, City Palace Complex which was also attended by Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur.

Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Police, Government of Rajasthan and The Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation takes place in Udaipur.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) and the Department of Police, Government of Rajasthan at The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace on the 22nd February 2008.

It was agreed, under a Memorandum of Understanding that The Department of Home Affairs will select the best police station in Rajasthan each year and that from 2008 the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation will bestow a Special Award at the Annual Award Ceremony in recognition of its achievement.
Mr. Jagat Mehta was chief guest at the function with signing authorities Mr. Sudhir Mutha, Honourary Secretary, MMCF and Mr. Sandeep Verma, IAS Special Secretary Administration, Department of Home Affairs. The memorandum was exchanged between Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Chairman and Managing Trustee, MMCF and Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Home Minister, Rajasthan. Signing the Memorandum of Understanding sets a precedent for the concept of public private partnership.
