Young Presidents' Organisation, India University meet in Mumbai
A meeting of the Young Presidents' Organisation (YPO) India University was organized in Mumbai from 26th January to 3rd February 2008.
Established over fifty years ago the YPO is an international, non-profit network of young business leaders made up of over 10,000 members spread over 200 Chapters in 80 countries worldwide. Their annual Apex Conference attracted around 500 members and their spouses from across the globe. The topic selected by YPO India University was ‘Where Centuries Coexist'. Delegates explored India's ancient history, culture and spirituality that has impacted on the rest of the world.

They combined their discussions with the latest perspective on business, politics, science and technology on the new ‘emerging' India. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur was invited as a guest speaker to talk to delegates on the 1st February. He started with a brief presentation on the living heritage of Mewar followed by an informal dialogue with the Moderator and a question and answer session with the audience. International members expressed delight at having the opportunity to learn about The Royal House of Mewar. In the evening Shriji joined a 'Fireside Chat' where delegates were given the opportunity to converse with him in person.

First Asian Invitational Conference held in Hyderabad
Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended the First Asian Invitational Conference on 'Sustaining Family Business' at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad on 1st and 2nd February 2008. In his keynote address, Dr John L. Ward, Kellogg School of Management talked about the 'root of adaptability' in family business management and advocated the concept of 'continuity and heritage'. After the session Shriji had further discussions with Dr. Ward and Dean Ram Mohan Rao. He also met industry leaders Mr. Sunil K. Munjal and Mr. Adi Godrej, special guests on the final day of the conference who both spoke about the resilience of family businesses in the face of globalization and liberalization.

 


Mindmine holds its third Summit in New Delhi
Hero Mindmine Institute organized its third Mindmine Summit on 7th and 8th February 2008 at Hotel ITC Maurya, New Delhi to discuss re-inventing Indian Business: An agenda for today.
Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur was invited to address session V on the 8th February on 'Re-invention: Business' Social Paradigms. In his speech Shriji addressed the requirements for business to balance the drive for profits with its responsibilities to society.

The marriage took place between Neha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kamal Joshi and Pamposh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tej Razdan at “Khas Bagh”, Jodhpur on 22nd February 2008. As part of their wedding celebration dinner was organized at Vinayak Vatika, Fatehpura, Udaipur on the 25th February. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur was present for the occasion.
