Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended a dinner at The Grand Laxmi Vilas Hotel on the 19th February 2008 hosted by Udaipur district Police in honour of Shri Rajeev Dasot, IPS on his transfer to Jodhpur Range and Shri Govind Gupta, IPS, District Superintendent of Police, Udaipur on his promotion and posting as Dy. I. G. of Police, ACB, Jodhpur.
An Auction of Indian Art – Early to Contemporary is held in New Delhi
Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended a preview and auction organized by Triveda Fine Arts Pvt. Ltd. of Indian Art – Early to Contemporary at The Sheraton Hotel, District Centre, Saket, New Delhi on the 27th February. Paintings from antique Tanjore to Great Masters were sympathetically selected for the auction by Chairman, Ms. Nina Pillai.
Fifty works from an art camp were designed by the Bhoruka Charitable Trust to benefit underprivileged children from funds raised from part of the auction. Today the Trust is helping to educate over 10,000 children from Jaipur and other villages and towns in Rajasthan.

VIP Visits to Udaipur
President of the Maldives visits Udaipur
His Excellency Mr. Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, President of the Republic of Maldives accompanied by his wife and a delegation of 27 visited Udaipur on the 9th February 2007. They visited the City Palace Museum and the Crystal Gallery located in the City Palace Complex where they met Thakur Sahib Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Deputy Secretary-MMCF Administration, who gave a short presentation on the history of the Palace complex and some of its artifacts. His Excellency commended the conservation work that has been carried out under the direction of Shriji and wished all those involved every success for their future endeavours. |

Mr. A. V. Singh, General Manager, Group Operations, represented HRH Group of Hotels to receive the award.
Fateh Prakash Palace, located on the eastern shores of the picturesque Lake Pichola resembles a fairy tale citadel. Constructed in the early twentieth century during the reign of Maharana Fateh Singh, the Palace was used exclusively for royal functions. It was as recently as the early nineteen nineties that this Palace was converted into a Grand Heritage hotel. The Hotel is elegantly decorated with miniature paintings and portraits, personal artifacts and the armory of the Mewar dynasty.
