Charitable Dispensary and Medical Aid

Medical Aid is an important activity of the MMCF. Citizens of the region can apply to it for medical benefits and assistance. The Staff's yearly medical checkups are also organised by the foundation. MMCF runs a charitable dispensary, which operates all year round. It aims to provide free medical advice and medicines to the needy that are unable to pay for medical treatment.

A total number of 1067 patients were treated in the month of September 2018.


Supporting the 'Widow Care Project' at Udaipur, Rajasthan

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation is providing financial assistance to support the 'Widow Care Project' at Udaipur, Rajasthan for the year 2018-19. This project is running since 2012 under the aegis of Swami Vivekanand Sewa Nyas, Udaipur. The trust is inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekanand: 'Daridra Devo Bhava' (To serve the poor is to serve god). Since 2004, SVSN has undertaken an endeavour to improve the quality of life of destitute widow residing in Udaipur and neighbouring areas of Udaipur with an objective to provide free monthly medical check-up by doctors, distribution of medicines for the whole month and if necessary refer them to other specialties for surgeries like cataract, dental care; to provide monthly pension to widow so that they can fulfil their very basic needs; to provide scholarship stationeries and uniforms to children of young widows so that they can continue their education and to provide skill development training to young capable widows so that they can earn their livelihood.

SVSN organizes a free medical camp in Udaipur which includes eye test, sugar test and blood pressure check-ups, surgeries and free distribution of full course of medicines for the month for these widows. SVSN organized a free medical health Check-up camp at Theosophical Society, Udaipur on 30th September 2018 where Dr. Arun Bordia and Dr. J.P. Simlot examined the patients. Blood sugar was done by Mr. S.M. Porwal.
