Mr. Chunnilal Garasiya (Rajya Sabha Member), Mr. Tara Chand Jain (Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly), Mr. Manna Lal Rawat (Member of Parliament, Udaipur), Mr. Phool Singh Meena (Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly) Mr. Ravindra Shrimali (BJP City District President) and Dr. Chandragupt Singh Chauhan (BJP Rural District President). He noted that the Maharanas of Mewar have historically shown great affection for elephants, exemplified by Maharana Sangram Singh (1710-1734), who constructed Hathi Baithak and Hathi Thaan for their care. Elephants have played a significant role in Mewar's military history, with a long-standing tradition of training them for battle at Hathi Aagad within the City Palace. To preserve this historical legacy for future generations, the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation Trust has commissioned two fiber sculptures created by sculptor Mr. Fakir Charan Parida, Haridwar. These sculptures reflect the ancient style and honor the vital contributions of elephants to Mewar's heritage. |
