Celebrating Legacy and Camaraderie: The 31st Battalion of the Rajput Regiment's 8th Raising Day

On September 14, 2024, the 31st Battalion of the Rajput Regiment commemorated its 8th Raising Day with a grand celebration at the Officers' Mess in Udaipur Military Station. The event was attended by a host of distinguished guests, contributing to a memorable occasion for the unit. A significant moment of the celebration was the unveiling of a remarkable painting titled "Maharana Pratap's decisive strike against Bahlol Khan." This historic artwork was presented by Capt. Rishab Suri (Retd.), Director, Security and Administration, on behalf of Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. The presentation served as a poignant reminder of the rich martial heritage and pride of the Rajput community. The festivities not only celebrated the battalion's achievements but also reflected its enduring spirit, deep-rooted traditions, and strong camaraderie among its members.

Empowering Education: Donation of Computers and Renovation at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Udaipur

On the initiative of Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, and with support from travel company A. & K. India, ten computer

sets have been donated to the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Jagdish Chowk, Udaipur. Recognizing the importance of digital education for girls in today's world, Mr. Mewar provided these computers along with internet connectivity to empower students and enhance their skills. This initiative is a significant step toward the progressive development of society. To further support this effort, free internet service will be available for one year.

In addition to the computer donation, the foundation has also facilitated repairs and painting of the school in collaboration with A. & K. India. Ms. Ruchi Parik, Principal of the girls' school, expressed gratitude for Mr. Mewar's contributions, noting that he has continued the tradition of educational philanthropy established by the Mewar Maharanas by covering the annual fees for students at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School for 2023. The school, which opened in January 1863 during the reign of Maharana Shambhu Singh, was originally named Shambhuratna Pathshala and holds the distinction of being the first school in the state. Under the project titled 'Education in Udaipur,' the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation has undertaken various renovation and enhancement initiatives for the school building, recognizing its historical ties to the Mewar family.

Following requests from school authorities, these projects were completed in three phases during 2015, 2016, and 2017, reflecting a commitment to preserving and improving educational facilities in the region.
