Moti Chowk and surrounding

Moti Chowk, the vast space courtyard served as the arrival and departure point of the royal family. It was the area where the horses were prepared for royal visits and processions. This huge courtyard was built in the reign of Maharana Karan Singh ji (r. 1620-28 CE).
 
 
Maharajas and their Museums - National Conference
The City Palace Museum, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, and the Museums Association of India jointly organized the 75th All India Museums Annual Conference on the theme 'Maharajas and their Museums.' Reputed institutions and individual scholars presented their papers on 6th & 7th August 2022 at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur.

Exhibition opening - A Tale of Two Palaces: Chambord / Udaipur

A Tale of Two Palaces, a joint exhibition by Domaine National de Chambord and The City Palace Museum, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur was opened to the public on 16th October 2022, and will run till the 5th of March 2023 at the Chateau.

 
Ashwa Poojan Ceremony 2022

Master Haritraj Singh Mewar along with Miss. Praneshwari Kumari Mewar did the Ashwa Poojan ceremony on the 03rd October 2022. Ashwa Poojan commemorates the bond between the Rajputs and the horse. It marks the grand finale to the Navratri festivities at the City Palace in Udaipur.
